GAMEZEBO.COM (Editor, July 2007—present)
Founded in 2005, Gamezebo.com is a leading editorial website devoted to the billion-dollar casual games industry. As editor, it’s my job to cater to this passionate group of gamers who just happened to be raised on Bejeweled and Diner Dash instead of Space Invaders and Tetris.

MICROSOFT HOME MAGAZINE (Contributor, March 2007—present)

Microsoft Canada created Microsoft Home Magazine to provide how-to articles, tips, product write-ups and features relating to computers and technology. As a freelance editor I assist the staff in updating and modernizing archived articles (such as replacing how-to tips for Windows XP with Vista and Windows Live).

PICCOLO PUBLISHING (Assistant Editor, Nov 2004—Nov 2006)

As part of an efficient production team, I worked on a stable of magazine including HUB: Digital Living and hub:ce (computer and consumer technology publications, respectively—at least until hub:ce morphed into the ham-fisted “lad mag” that it is today), Canadian videogame mag Total Gamer, and the wellness publication Urban Fitness. Duties included editing, writing full-length features, product roundups and news items, and attending industry events.

SATURDAY NIGHT MAGAZINE (Editorial Intern, Aug 2004—Nov 2004)
I “jobbed out” of J-school to accept an internship at one of Canada’s most prestigious (and oldest) general-interest magazines, doing fact-checking, copy-editing and research duties as needed.

"Erin's writing is integrity driven, creative, insightful and informative. She is incredibly thorough and reliable. She is exceedingly fast yet extremely accurate in copy editing. Erin is attentive to the demographics and interests of her readers and connects with the through her enlightened words. You can count on great work, and in a pinch if neccessary."
